Notice on Covering the Event of MFA Presenting Tibet to the World
Dear journalists,
The Event of MFA Presenting Tibet to the World will be held at 16:00 on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Lanting, South Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. With the theme of "China on a New Journey: A New Chapter of Development for a Happy New Tibet", the event is co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region.
Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister, will be present and address the audience. Mr. Wu Yingjie, Secretary of the CPC Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee, and Mr. Yan Jinhai, acting chairman of the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region, will deliver remarks and presentations respectively. Friends from at home and abroad as well as representatives from the Diplomatic Corps will deliver remarks. An unveiling ceremony of a special Diplomatic Commemorative Cover will also be held.
Those who are interested in covering the event will need to register through the online application system (www.lanting-fmprc.cn) by 17:00 on Friday, October 15, and upload the filled-out Epidemiological Survey with affiliated agency’s seal on it together with a screen shot of your travel history code from the Wechat Mini-program. An entry QR Code will be issued via cellphone once registration is approved. Kindly be reminded that the QR code, green Health Code and press card are required for entry. Please wear a facial mask and be ready for a temperature test at the entrance on the 1st floor, South Building before 15:00 on October 20.
Due to Covid-19 prevention and control requirements, only photographers will be able to access Lanting during the Event. A special press area will be set up on the 5th floor of the South Building for other journalists.
